7 Photo Tips for Mr and Mrs Stretchy AI Videos
Choose clearer photos for your Stretchy clay skit with seven tips on lighting, faces, framing, couple photos and role assignment.

Pick photos that make it easy to tell who is playing each role. Use these seven checks before you upload to the video generator.
1. Choose Even Lighting
Use a portrait where you can see both sides of the face. If a bright window sits behind the subject and their face looks dark, choose a photo taken facing the window instead.
2. Keep Faces Unobstructed
Look for visible eyes and a clear outline around the mouth and chin. A hand over the face or strong reflections on glasses can obscure more detail than a different expression.
3. Leave Room Around the Head
Choose a head-and-shoulders photo with the full head visible. If the frame cuts through the hair or chin, try a wider photo from the same session.
4. Check the Left and Right Roles
Preview your template before you assign portraits. Put the left role in Slot 1 and the right role in Slot 2. Use Swap Roles to reverse them before submitting.
5. Compare a Couple Photo with Separate Portraits
A couple photo works best as a starting point when both faces are visible and close to the camera. If one person is partly hidden or much farther away, choose two individual portraits so you can frame each person clearly.
6. Start from a Camera-Roll Photo
Choose the photo itself when possible. A cropped screenshot of a social profile often has less face detail. If the file is on your phone, use the upload QR code beside the relevant slot.
7. Change One Photo at a Time
If one character is hard to recognize, first replace that person’s photo with a clearer one and keep the same template. If the people look recognizable but play the wrong roles, swap the slots before trying again.
